I give a fun detailed description on just who are these millions of Boomers around the world. 🙂
Well, as a lover of travel to 🌵 Mexico for a number of years now, I was delighted to have the opportunity and to learn more about why more and more Baby Boomer Americans are moving to various destinations in Mexico.
What I learned from reading the book really didn’t surprise me at all. What did though, was the amount of Americans that are choosing to spend their retirement years across the Border.

🏜 Researchers Investigating Baby Boomers, Retirement and Non- Traditional Retirement Models.
Certainly most everyone who may be considering such a move as this, will have a ton of questions to ask, and just how to start the 🎱 ball rolling.
Travis touches base on pretty much everything in his book, including offering some very helpful resources to check out online as well. All to help you get started on considering such a move or actually planning to move to Mexico.
Many subjects he touched on in the book, did come as quite a surprise to me.
Boomers In Mexico – Is It Right For You
Moving to Mexico is definitely not for everyone, especially those who might expect the standards to be that of which they may be accustomed to at home.
In past years, we have traveled many times to the more popular tourist destinations throughout Mexico, as well as 🏕 camping down the Baja.
I love the people and culture in Mexico!
In fact, I have even taken Spanish speaking courses and a University credit course in Spanish in past years. But to actually move to {Mexico from Canada}, at this stage of my life, is not something we would consider ever doing.
A Focus On Boomers From The United States
We are fortunate to have a population far less than that of our neighbors to the south. In fact, Canada’s entire population is pretty close to that of the State of California.
We have room to breathe and thankfully our Health Care and long term care home facilities are provided for us, from our government.
Through his extensive research on why Boomers are making the move, this is what Travis discovered;
“I found, generally, that Boomers get interested in Mexico because they think they can save money by living there,” he said. “But when they get there, they fall in love with their local community and the Mexican people and culture.
So, while the idea of retiring a bit early and saving some money attracts them, once they get to Mexico, they find it’s the authentic community and authentic culture that keeps them there.”
It is quite apparent after reading the book, that {American Boomers}, are definitely in search of a better lifestyle than what they presently have in the United States.
In our camping adventures down south over the years, we have befriended many American Boomers in Arizona and Southern California.
Many of them do cross into Mexico for {Dental and Medical} care regularly.
They all say their savings are enormous, and for the exact same professional care they would receive in the United States.
