⛵ Windjammer Tall Ship Schooner ⛵I captured this photo at sunset from the balcony of our cruise ship. It was taken on our fabulous Caribbean Cruise a seasons ago. Situated in the north east part of the Caribbean, this very popular large island, is divided between the; French and Dutch.

Known for excellent beaches, duty free shopping and much more, St Maarten is a major cruise ship port, attracting tourists from all over the world.

A Beautiful Sunset in St Maarten

Many years ago, I enjoyed a Caribbean cruise with Windjammer Barefoot Cruises on the; w/v Polynesia Tall Sailing Ship.

At that time in the early 80’s it was a very casual, no frills ⛵ sailing adventure, to some lovely islands in the Caribbean.

This photo certainly brought back fond memories of that 2 week adventure, with an outstanding crew and the fun we had on board, with staff and fellow passengers.

Although no longer in business, there are still tall ship sailing adventures, sailing the Caribbean Islands.

Taking one of these unique type of cruises is certainly worth checking into. Step out of the box and discover a Tall Ship – Windjammer style cruise. I’m sure you will enjoy it as much as I did years ago!
