As a Baby Boomer Travel, Health & Wellness Blogger and avid reader, I’ve included a 📚 book reviews segment, to my blog.
One of my reads I thoroughly enjoyed, is the featured author’s latest publication called; Kilimanjaro Millennial Style: The Mountain We Climbed
First off, if you’re not quite familiar with the term {Baby Boomers}, then be sure to check out my introduction post here on my; 🌱 Gr8 Travel Tips Homepage 🌱.
It gives a fun detailed description on just who we {Millions of Boomers Around the World} are. 🙂
My wife and I also have 2 Millennial Aged kids (a person born in the 1980’s or 1990’s) who I am quite sure, will love reading this book as well.
I received a request in my 📧 email inbox recently from John Hunt Publishing, asking if I would be interested in 📖 reading and reviewing this new book.
I was delighted to have the opportunity to 📖 read and to offer a personal review of this new publication.

Kilimanjaro Millennial Style | The Mountain We Climbed – Review
What a wonderful read this was, following this group of students as they related their personal heartfelt experiences 🥾 climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
A true test of personal courage and perseverance, comradery and what it means to work together to achieve success!
With the assistance and guidance of experienced guides and porters to rely on throughout the 🥾 climb, this group of students overcame their individual personal demons.
It was also a wonderful opportunity to hike along with their trusted porters and guides, getting to know these amazing people on a personal level as well.
This is something that just can’t be taught in the 🏫 classroom.
Truly, a once in a lifetime experience that will most certainly be ingrained in their memories forever!
University Level Experiential Teaching Curriculum
22 of the university’s upper-level students who were enrolled in the – Core Capstone, set out on this Experiential Teaching Curriculum trek.
Together with excerpts from their teachers and the students who participated in this demanding hike, authored this publication.
These students shared their personal experience and feelings on this incredibly demanding adventure. At the same time, they hoped to provide some helpful tips for those who may also take on this challenging climb in the future.
“Millennial Style will quickly grasp the different ways young adults perceive their world, how their relationships are deepened, where they find adventure and what it means to have an authentic experience together.”
The book reminded me of a class I took long ago when I was in Grade 12. It was a high school credit course named – Career Exploration.
The course was focused on its given title, but also geared on allowing students to have an actual – Experiential Course Experience into career option opportunities.
We were given an opportunity to spend time with businesses, organizations and or services, that we showed an interest in as a possible career option.
Even a few of my fellow students were offered employment after 🎓 graduating from high school, within the field they had chosen and spent time with during the course.
What a wonderful course concept, allowing students to realize their own personal strengths and weaknesses. To be given this lifetime opportunity and to be able to achieve and overcome any obstacles they may face in years to come.
A great read for all ages!
