Now that you know what you’ve been missing all this time in Squamish, I’ll let you in on one other excellent establishment in the city that should definitely not be missed.
This, especially true if you love 🍺 craft beer and want to sample some of the best brewed beers found anywhere in British Columbia. 🍁
Don’t take my word for it, Howe Sound Brewery has won 🏆 prestigious award’s over the years, to prove this statement.
They have received; Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for many years from the;

This prestigious competition takes place each year in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Participants feature over 250 Craft Breweries from from multiple nations and is considered the top competition in North America.

This Canadian Brewing Award medal is a highly recognized and awarded for brewing excellence in Canada. Canada’s premier competition awarding competitors recognition as the best in Canadian brewed beer quality.

Dining Options At The Howe Sound Brewing Co. In Squamish
Situated right downtown, the {Howe Sound Brew Pub and Inn}, is ideally located and offers stunning views from inside the pub of the famous 🏔 Stawamus Chief Rock Face.
The 🏔 Chief is a world renowned flat rock face, that draws serious rock climbers from around the world.
Come in and spend some time in a comfortable, yet rustic looking pub, complete with fireplace.
This pub offers a relaxed country feel, where you can sit and enjoy one of the many specialty craft beers or any other favorite beverage. Along with your favorite beverage, enjoy a wonderful meal for lunch or dinner.
From extraordinary brewed craft beers, a food menu for all kinds, to live entertainment combined with picturesque mountain views, it’s no wonder this is the favorite pub and eatery in Squamish!
A Variety Of Menu Items To Choose From
My wife and I had a great meal in the Brew Pub, while watching the hockey game on the Big Screen TV.
The menu is large and with a variety of choices that would suit most everyone. Below, is just a sample of what we enjoyed for our dinner a few seasons ago.
Appetizer;
We heard from a local resident that the Deep Fried Pickles were a favorite and definitely a great way to start off while enjoying a craft beer.
We had never heard of deep fried pickles before, so we had to give them a try. A great seasoned coating, along with a ranch dipping sauce, we both thought they were an excellent choice!
BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich;
My wife enjoyed a very large smoked pulled pork bunwich with sweet corn relish and coleslaw in the bun.
A unique Rail Ale BBQ sauce added making this mouth – watering and delicious. I was jealous!
Jambalaya Rice Bowl;
I selected something different and something definitely not found in a typical restaurant pub.
The Jambalaya Rice Bowl contained pieces of chicken, shrimp, spicy sausage and okra, all in a mildly spicy Cajun sauce.
Dessert;
Again, on suggestions from the locals who frequent the pub, they insisted we try the Hemp Fudge Brownies, so we made sure to leave room for dessert and were we ever glad we did!
These delicious brownies are served warm, with melting white and dark chocolate chunks on top, toasted hemp seeds, with ice-cream and chocolate sauce. Definitely recommended and worth saving room for!
A wonderful meal served with amazing craft beer, friendly service all in a perfect setting in downtown Squamish.
A Brief History Of The Brew Pub
British Columbia’s very own Mitchell and Frank Appleton pioneered North America’s first modern craft brewery back in 1980. They were known as the true founders of micro-brewing in Canada.
This also became known as the start of craft beer brewing!
John Mitchell was brought up to assist in designing the now {Howe Sound Brewery} and was also the brewer who developed their first recipes.
For decades now, Howe Sound continues to brew quality craft style beer, using only unfiltered 100% barley mash.
The pure and natural quality is evident in each and every brand brewed today.
The Howe Sound Inn
The Inn features 20 beautifully decorated guest rooms, complete with amazing mountain views. This property is perfect for business or pleasure, offering all the amenities and that one would normally not expect in a small – boutique style Inn.
