We opted for a private transfer from ✈ Cancun’s International Airport, to our hotel in Akumal. This, instead of the regular large and much slower 🚍 bus ground transportation, offered by our tour company.
After reading many reviews on how long the bus ride would be to Akumal and Tulum regions from the airport, it was an easy decision to opt for a private shuttle van service. This option, would take us to our 🏨 resort hotel in a fraction of the time.

Representative Waiting at Arrivals
As indicated on our reservation, which was made on the 🚌 USA Transfers website prior to leaving home, there was a friendly representative holding an easy recognizable sign, waiting for us just outside of arrivals.
After a warm greeting, we were led to a clean and comfortable private mini-van, located just a few steps away.
Friendly & Professional Safe Drivers
We were greeted by our driver and our 🧳 luggage was immediately placed inside the van, and we were on our way to our 🏨 resort hotel in Akumal, approximately 1 ½ hours away.
Along the way our driver was very courteous and always drove at a safe and comfortable speed the entire time. He was eager to answer any questions we had and adjusted the air conditioning in the van, to keep us comfortable at all times.
We arrived at our destination quickly and safely after a most enjoyable drive, easily arriving in less than half the time it would have taken the larger shuttle bus.
These large company airport shuttle buses have to make several stops along the way, dropping off passengers at the different selected resorts. Together, with having to wait at the airport for everyone else to clear customs, collect their bags and then board the bus.

For our group and after a long 🛬 flight, the last thing we wanted to do, was sit in a crowded 🚍 bus. This transfer bus would be making several stops along the way at a variety of resorts, before reaching our final destination.
If you are staying a longer distance away from the airport as we were, then I strongly suggest, booking a private shuttle van. If you are a group of 4 or more people traveling together, this is even a better choice.
For the minimal cost for a group, it is well worth the fare. It will get you to your destination quickly, so you can get on with your vacation!

On our recent visit to Playa del Carmen, we once again had the pleasure of using USA Transfers for our return journey back to Cancun Airport.
