About VIP Tours Cozumel
With a solid long standing reputation as a tour provider on the island of Cozumel, VIP Tours offers a number of water and land tours to choose from.
They specialize in private customized tours, but not exclusively. We wanted to enjoy a full day on the island of Cozumel, crossing over from our hotel in Playa del Carmen.
They offered a four hour shared fast boat snorkel tour with ferry crossing included, which was a perfect choice for us.

The departure times for their snorkel tours are scheduled for 10 am and 2 pm. We chose the early 10am departure, catching the fast ferry over at 9am. We wanted to enjoy the tour and then spend leisurely time on the island, crossing over back to Playa del Carmen on a ferry of our choice.

Shared Snorkel In Fast Boat Tour
After meeting our VIP Tours customer service representative {Rogelio} in Playa del Carmen, we then boarded our fast ferry over to Cozumel.
If you are considering this package from Playa del Carmen, the tour price does include your ferry crossing to/from Cozumel.
Reaching the other side, we met with others in our group at their tour booth, where we all boarded our fast boat.
It was first off to a couple of resorts along the way, to pick up additional guests and afterwards, made our way to our first snorkel location.
A great way to experience the crystal clear Caribbean waters and view of Isla Cozumel!
For those who may not be accustomed to snorkeling or perhaps a little apprehensive about swimming in the ocean, this is a terrific introductory tour for you.
Mask and snorkel are provided, life jackets and a staff member are with you in the water at all times. They are there for safety, to assist you in any way they can, and guide you along the way.
After enjoying the beautiful clear waters at both snorkeling locations, we then headed to a unique waist deep sandbar, to enjoy the beautiful friendly sting rays swimming around your feet.
There’s tasty snacks and cold refreshments served on the water, making for enjoyable leisurely time spent in the crystal clear water and out in the beautiful sunshine.
All making for a unique and wonderful experience.
Afterwards, it’s back to the dock and for us, time to do some shopping, enjoy one of the local eateries and spend a leisurely afternoon in Cozumel.
We chose the later afternoon ferry back to Playa del Carmen, finishing off a great day!
