It’s hard not to be mesmerized by the sound and site of the cascading falls, dropping over 1000 feet from the top. As the snow begins to melt from the 🏔 mountain peaks, the water roars as it makes its way to the bottom.

The park offers; well maintained trails and steps leading to viewing platforms. Within steps from the parking lot and picnic area, access is easy for most everyone.

Excellent Hiking Around Shannon Falls Provincial Park

Named after William Shannon, a pioneer settler on the property back in the late 1800’s, the park is now one of the numerous, popular hiking locations in and around Squamish to enjoy.

For serious 🥾 hikers, there is a difficult hike that leads up to the top of the famous 🏔 Stawamus Chief Mountain, offering stunning views that will leave you breathless!

Shannon Falls Park

Shannon Falls is easy to find, located just south of town directly off the main highway corridor. Be sure to make a point of stopping at the park, as well as take the time to discover what Squamish really has to offer.

Get off the highway and head into the downtown area, and check out the many local shops and cafes the city offers. It always amazes me why so many are in such a hurry in their travels, especially while on vacation. Theses people are missing some of the great sites and attractions, that are located just off the highway.

Instead, opting for unhealthy 🍔 fast food next to the ⛽ gas station, as they rush to get to their destinations.
