Enjoy a wonderful ten minute journey in the 🌎 world’s biggest rotating 🚡 tram car, as you make your way 2 ½ miles, to an elevation of; 8,516 feet!
As you make your way up the mountainside, the 🚡 tram car will rotate a full 360 degrees, two times. This way, no one misses anything on the way up and down on your ride. As well and as the landscape changes as you ascend, so does the terrain. As a matter of fact, you will pass along 5 unique life zones.
Starting low in the 🏜 Mexican Sonoran Desert all the way to a beautiful 🏔 Alpine Setting at the top. Here, you can breathe in the fresh air and the scent of the beautiful 🌲 forest that surrounds you.
Not to Mention The Breathtaking View! 🙂
Palm Springs Tram – Centrally Located & Open Year Round
This major attraction is conveniently located just minutes from downtown 🌴 Palm Springs. Within minutes, you can leave the desert like setting and feel like you’re in a different State!
The desert terrain complete changes, to a beautiful forested mountain setting. Complete with views to match!
I do recommend and believe this is one of Palm Springs attractions, you simple must visit. It’s certainly one of the major attractions in this special area, of California.
It was our first visit to Palm Springs and region, while on our 🏕 camping vacation, a few seasons ago. I happened to come across a colorful brochure on this attraction, while stopped at one of the; Tourist Information Centers, on our way to 🏜 Phoenix, Arizona.
I was surprised by the size of the tram, the unique revolving cars and the elevation, it takes you to.

I was sold on the brochure and we simply had to go!
It was recommended that we attend about an hour before sunset. This is when you can ascend the mountain in the daytime in the late afternoon and enjoy the beautiful; sunset and changing colors, at the top of the mountain.
Then make your way back down the mountain in total darkness. This is when you can view the lights of the city below and the surrounding valley.
It worked out just perfect! 🙂
Attending in early November, was also a perfect time of year to take in this attraction. The months of; October and November are an excellent time of year, to visit this part of California.
These two months are just ahead of the winter rush of visitors, arriving for 🎄 Christmas and staying throughout January.
Mount San Jacinto State Park And Wilderness Area Awaits You

The ride will have you arriving at; Mountain Station, situated at the very top. Outside, you will find a path that leads to the entrance of the 🏞 State Park.
You can 🥾 hike and even ⛺ camp within the 14,000 acres of pristine wilderness, from the top of the summit.
Enjoy self-guided walks and hikes along well marked trails. There’s guided nature walks and other various organized activities, for the outdoor enthusiast.
As you take in the breathtaking scenery and mountain air, the {Mountain Station}, offers a variety of conveniences for you to enjoy, during your stay at the top.

✔ A relaxed and casual cafeteria offering a wide variety of;
