Gr8 Travel Tips Travel Photos – Mascot Mine Hedley BC
A presentation of our families personal 📸 photographs taken during our travel adventures around the world!
This time we head to the very small town of {Hedley}, in the Province of British Columbia, 🍁 Canada.
This incredible historic site is situated five thousand feet above the town of Hedley, and was constructed completely on the side of a ⛰ Mountain face!
The Historic Mascot Mine In British Columbia
The Hedley Mascot Mine operated between 1936 and 1949, earning the reputation as one of the most unusual mining operations in the world.
This successful ⚒ mining operation yielded large amounts of gold, copper and silver up until 1955.
The town of Hedley, BC has been around since gold was discovered back in 1898!
After extensive restoration, this historic site has since become a very popular tourist attraction in this region.
The view is simply amazing from the site on the mountain. Buses will take you up alongside the mountain, but be prepared to walk quiet a number of steep steps to the historic buildings.
Update May 2023
Hedley Mascot Gold Mine Tours is recorded as closed at this time.
Construction is presently taking place at the Nickle Plate and Mascot Mines.
I’ve included the official website link to the Mascot Mine for updates on the Mines reopening.
😎 Safe and Healthy Travels!
