Post Last Modified – June 28, 2023 ¦ gr8traveltips.com
If you have been following my blog, then you know one of our favorite things to do when traveling to new destinations, is taking a guided food tour.
On our visit to 🍁 Quebec City-Canada, we did just that. We enjoyed a wonderful food and beverage tasting experience with …
A Fully Guided Evening Walking Food and Drink Tour, out on the streets of Saint-Roch, Quebec City.
Evening Saint-Roch Quebec City Food & Drink Tour

We chose the Evening Saint-Roch Food & Drink Tour, which is just one of the excellent tours offered by this company.
It’s a 2.5 hour fully guided tour, presently held on Fridays & Saturdays at 4:30 PM. Saint-Roch is one of Quebec City’s most diverse and trendy neighborhoods.
If you love tasting and discovering local dishes when you travel to new destinations, then you’re going to thoroughly enjoy this food tour. Your guide will also share a bit of the history of Quebec City, as you make your way along its streets.
This is an ideal food and drink tour for 🥗 foodie, 🍺 craft beer and 🍷 wine enthusiasts!
A Look At Our Local Quebec City Food Tour

Our very friendly and upbeat guide, met us and others taking this tour at the pre-arranged meeting point and time. After a brief introduction, we started the tour right inside the doors where we all met.
Food Tour Tasting Locations
Nina Pizza Napolitaine

Our first stop and meeting point, is a pleasant 15 to 20 minute walk from Old Quebec City, for those staying in the area.
Time to start the tour and sampling, at this very popular local restaurant.
Here, we tried a slice of their famous wood-fired oven 🍕 pizza, some pomodoro salad and a glass of private importation wine.

An excellent way to start the tour, as I’m sure everyone arrived on an empty stomach and anxious to start sampling, as we were.
Everything was delicious! 🙂

After enjoying our first food and drink sampling, it was time to head out and make our way to our next destination.
Bati Cantine

Another local hidden 💎 gem in Saint-Roch, … Cambodian street food.
This is a casual establishment, with an outdoor beer garden for those warm evenings. Here, we sampled their famous – lemongrass beef skewers.

These skewers were tender and bursting with flavor!
They were absolutely outstanding and we could have spent the whole night here, they were so good. 🙂
Fromagerie des Grondines Cheese Shop

On our way to enjoy some official cheese and charcuterie tasting.
At this impressive looking 🧀 cheese shop, we sampled some exclusive Raw Milk Cheese from a local farm, along with a very unique … Sea Buckthorn Drink!

“Also referred to as the “lemon of the north,” these small orange berries are true vitamin boosters. They are packed with healthy ingredients for your body and your skin.”
Brasserie Koriganne

Continuing on our way, time to try Poutine & Craft Beer pairing, at a favorite brewpub.

We were able to sample some of their home brewed craft beer, along with a Quebec favorite – Poutine.
Poutine is a dish that includes; french fries and cheese curds topped with a brown gravy.

You simply can’t visit the Province of Quebec, without trying Poutine at least once! 🙂
Noctem Artisans Brasseurs

On to our second craft beer establishment brewed in-house. Our beer sampling was paired with a nice fresh salmon dish, way out of the ordinary for your typical brew pub!

Champagne Chocolatier

Finishing off our excellent tour and after enjoying the company of other guests and our guide, time to try a nice dessert sample.
A piece of their gourmet chocolate bursting with their very own – Israeli flavors!

Reasons To Choose Local Quebec City Food Tours

I do like to promote small businesses that truly care for their city, who also support small local businesses and the staff they employ.
Their Mission is to …
“Help the neighbourhoods we love grow and prosper. We practice a sustainable tourism philosophy where we ensure that each restaurant we visit is paid fairly for the great food they serve us, and that the wait staff receives proper gratuities for their service.”
