This is 🍁 Valemount, British Columbia’s premier dining establishment, serving outstanding family choice meals served each and every day.
Valemount BC is ideally located, for a perfect mid-way stop between the cities of; Vancouver BC and Edmonton Alberta. We did just that, during our travels along the 🛣 Yellowhead Hwy 5 heading towards renowned 🏔 Jasper, Alberta in the {Canadian Rockies} a few seasons ago.
Experience this picturesque city with superb mountain views, with outdoor activities galore.
Valemount is also within close proximity to the World Heritage Site of 🏞 Mount Robson Provincial Park.

Enjoy Casual Family Dining At The Caribou Grill
Your hosts and owners {Patricia and Rudi Thoni,} had this beautiful genuine log building built in 1998, and officially opened for business in the following year.
The interior is absolutely amazing and tastefully decorated, representing a back country theme. The walls are beautifully decorated with; wildlife mounts, native artifacts, leather art and comfortable seating to match the décor.
One can’t help but keep looking around at the beautiful displays and art on the walls, surrounding the interior.
It’s easy to tell that a great deal of labor of love has been put into this business and building throughout the years!
The Extensive Menu At The Caribou Grill
The menu offers a wide variety of selections to choose from that even the fussiest of eater will enjoy. From choice Prime Rib, Seafood selections and Pasta dishes, it’s hard to decide what to order. There’s even a kids menu and a detailed list of fine wine’s to choose from.
All meals are served with a basket of freshly baked mouth – watering Cheese Bread!
Below, is a look at what our meal was like and just what you can expect when dining at this fine restaurant.
For my wife and I, we both decided on the daily specials that offer something unique and looked just too tempting to refuse.
Seafood Chowder
We both selected the fresh seafood chowder which was simply out of this world! A great starter with the delicious hot cheese bread.
For the two of us, we could have easily made a meal of this beautiful chowder and bread!
The Minute Steak
I chose the Minute Steak Special of the Day served with peppercorn sauce along with mashed potatoes and the daily vegetable.
A tender generous portion of steak served to perfection that turned out to be an excellent choice!
Beef Stew
My wife made the wise decision to select the second daily special on the list, that of the Beef Stew. This dish was also served with mashed potatoes and broccoli.
A very large portion of tender junks of beef in a delicious gravy stew.
Caribou Coupe Signature Dessert
Although completely satisfied with the main meal, we simply had to try the restaurants signature dessert – The Caribou Coupe. One look at the photo above and you can tell why this dessert is so popular.
Absolutely delicious with generous portions of brownie, ice cream, whipped cream and more!
Not a dessert you want to be thinking of the calorie intake but definitely worth saving room at the end for and treating yourself to.
The Caribou Grill is definitely 💎 Valemount’s hidden gem and a restaurant that you simply must try, when traveling through this area. It’s no surprise that they have received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award and other accolades over the years.
They’ve even had a few surprise celebrities drop in for a meal, from time to time!
