After reviewing the many excellent dental clinics located in this part of Mexico, we chose to combine a vacation in Playa del Carmen and the services of Smile Makeover, for my dental work needed.

Choosing Smile Makeover For Your Dental Vacation
In Canada, unfortunately my personal extended health dental coverage does not include dental implants and/or crowns. After discovering what the cost for a molar implant would cost, I decided to research the cost comparison to having the work done by a dental professional in Mexico.
I was amazed at the price difference!
After researching travel costs and reviewing reputable dental clinics in Playa del Carmen, choosing Smile Makeover was an easy choice for me.
Situated in the exclusive gated community of Playacar, where most All Inclusive Beach Resorts and Condo complexes are situated, made this a perfect choice for us.
We chose the month of February to travel and enjoy a 2 week vacation at a rental condo in Playacar, to have the initial implant procedure done.
After a 6 month waiting period for the implant to be established, I would then return on my own to have the crown inserted onto the implant.
I watched for flight specials during this waiting period and was able to grab a very affordable flight back to Cancun in the summer, along with a lovely boutique hotel in town.

I couldn’t have been happier with the results. Their customer service and dental professionals at the clinic were awesome!
All in all, my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 week beach dental vacation, for just a little more than the actual cost of having the procedure done at home. I’ve always had friends and acquaintances over the years, mention having their dental work done in Mexico, and now I know why.
We chose Playa del Carmen because we love this part of Mexico and the area, for its beautiful beaches and amazing historical sites to visit in the Yucatan.
