A Brief Look At The Abatan River Firefly Tour

This hour long tour will take you gently up the beautiful Abatan River, for an amazing light show of fireflies!
As with all private tours taken with this business, your professional driver and guide, will arrange to pick you up at your 🏘 hotel.
Our driver arrived on schedule, in a newer model air conditioned 🚗 car. It took us about an hour to reach our destination on the banks of the Abatan River.
Shortly after our arrival and as soon as all the other visitors arrived, it was time to board the river boats.
After taking a few 📸 photos down at the boats and dock, engines were started and we were on our way into the darkness.

We drifted silently under the trees and stared in awe by the synchronized blinking of the fireflies. They made it seem like the entire tree was pulsating and oscillating as one.
Simply magical!
Be mesmerized as you cruise along the Abatan River, in total darkness. You will board a motorized outrigger boat taking you upstream at a slow, leisurely pace.
Along the riverbanks, some trees are adorned with a myriad of fireflies, some covering the entire foliage of the trees.
Enjoy this mysterious and relaxing tour in total darkness.
It’s a neat experience, something very unique and different to do, during your stay in Bohol.
A great way to spend an evening on your visit!
