My wife and I accompanied by my father, enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Vic’s Restaurant on our recent visit to the Capital City. I grew up in Victoria, and always love to return as often as I can and dine at the many wonderful restaurants this city has to offer.
Vics Steakhouse Restaurant Menu
For those looking for a Continental or Full Buffet Breakfast, Vic’s is open each morning serving a healthy and hearty meal to start your day. Great selections to choose from and for those limited on time, a buffet breakfast is a great option to help you get on your way!
Upon our arrival for dinner, we were greeted and seated by the restaurants friendly staff. We all mentioned the lovely setting and décor of the restaurant and the connecting sit down bar area. We were presented with a full menu that I’m sure would satisfy most everyone’s appetite. It really was difficult for us to choose, so we each tried something different!
Much More than Steak on Vic’s Menu
Don’t let the name fool you, there’s so much more than the tender mouth -watering steaks on the menu for you to enjoy. Choose from a variety of crisp fresh salads, soup to local Pacific Salmon, BBQ Ribs and Jerk Chicken. There is certainly a menu item to satisfy most everyone making this the perfect choice for dining in downtown Victoria.
Here’s a brief look at what we enjoyed for dinner on our recent visit:
My father and I began with a Half Order of Vic’s Caesar Salad. A beautifully presented fresh salad complete with asiago cheese, bacon crumble and romaine heart. The half order was plenty as a starter for us, with a very generous serving as you can see in the photo above.
My wife selected the Roasted Beet Salad which looked absolutely delicious. A fresh organic salad prepared with honey-roasted beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts and more. A truly unique and healthy option at Vic’s for those looking for something different in a salad.
With so many entrees to choose from, it really was difficult to decide. You have your choice of Perfectly Paired Entrees to Signature Sandwiches and Burgers to select from.
“Our Kitchen Is Your Kitchen”
Vic’s embraces the ‘our kitchen is your kitchen’ philosophy. If you have a specific dietary requirement or if you would like something not currently on the menu, please ask. If we have the ingredients we would be pleased to accommodate the request.
My wife chose the Beef & Prawn dinner with bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin, garlic prawns with roasted yams and vegetables. Her dinner was also a great choice for those looking for that ‘Surf n Turf’ option. Again, presented to perfection and a lovely choice!
My father selected the Pacific Salmon with toasted almonds, baby roasted potatoes and vegetables. The salmon was exquisite! Beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. For fish lovers, it is the perfect choice!
I had a tough choice as the whole menu looked awesome. I selected the Jerk Chicken & Pork Ribs with the baby roasted potatoes and vegetables. Tender ribs in tasty bbq sauce with a nice mild but ever so slightly spicy jerk chicken to accompany the ribs. Again, as with all the dishes above, presentation was superb and the meal cooked perfectly.
Our choices were excellent and we look forward to returning on our next visit to try the other selections on the menu!
For those looking for Steak options, you can choose from tender AAA Beefrib, BeefSirloin, Beef NY Strip and Beef Tenderloin. All steaks come complete with vegetables, choice of potatoes and additional side dishes to accompany your meal.
The dessert menu was just to appealing to pass by, so we saved room to enjoy a dessert with our coffee. Be sure to ask for and look at the dessert menu while ordering your dinner as we did. You don’t want to miss out on the selections offered, so save room for dessert and treat yourself!
Our selections included;
Divine Chocolate Brownie with toasted almonds, mixed berry coulis and whipped cream. Absolutely delicious! Need I say anything more!
Cinnamon Apple Tart with a homemade flaky pie crust, topped with oat crumble and vanilla ice cream. The perfect choice to enjoy with your coffee or tea. From Cheesecake, Chocolate Crème Brulee, Ice Cream to Pudding, the choice is yours!
