Oasis Tulum Hotel Review

Our Oasis Tulum Hotel Review and Stay in Mexico

On our recent holiday to the Mayan Riviera, we wanted to stay at an all-inclusive resort in the Akumal / Tulum region, known for the best beaches and a more relaxed setting. We also wanted a resort that was unlike the typical Palace type properties that you see everywhere dotting the Yucatan Peninsula.

We were searching for a resort that offered all the inclusive amenities, but still having that personal, quiet and relaxed feel to it. The Oasis Tulum was our first choice!

A Four Star All Inclusive Resort with Five Star Service

There are two sections to the hotel with two separate lobbies interconnected at this resort. There is Grand Oasis Tulum, a higher star rated section of the hotel and the Oasis Tulum section where we chose to stay. Both are attractive in their own unique way to suit each individuals taste and budget.

My focus is on the Oasis Tulum section of the hotel.

The resort is situated approximately 1 ½ hours south of Cancun and about a 20 minute drive north of the town of Tulum. Known for its spectacular beaches, it is the perfect destination for those looking for a more relaxed vacation away from the hurried pace of Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

A perfect beach vacation destination!

Friendly Staff at Your Service

Oasis Tulum Resort Chefs

Over the years, our family have been fortunate enough to travel to many different all inclusive vacation resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico. I can honestly say that the Tulum resort far surpassed all the other 3 to 4 star resorts we have stayed at previously, in the high quality of service received from all members of the resorts staff.

Service with a Smile Always

Standards are set very high at this resort and it definitely shows by the never ending prompt and friendly service received at this resort.

The quality of service was outstanding!

Never without a friendly greeting

All Inclusive Resort Bartender

It was difficult to find and staff member that you passed by during our entire stay, not greeting you with a friendly ‘Ola’ or gladly assisting with any of your requests. This truly was a highlight of our stay at this fine all inclusive resort unlike others we have stayed at previously.

Rooms Always Clean and Comfortable

During our 2 week stay at the Oasis Tulum, we found our room to be clean and comfortable at all times. This section of the hotel is older, but the employees do their best to keep the rooms well maintained and clean. We always noticed maintenance and other staff continually cleaning and maintaining the property throughout our stay.

As well, this is the first resort where we observed staff members continually cleaning garbage left behind by guests on the beach and in other common areas of the resort.

A Variety of Dining Choices

Oasis Tulum Buffet

The selection of dining options is sure to please most everyone staying at the Oasis. The main buffet always provided a never ending variety of local and international style dishes to choose from. We never tired of the wonderful freshly cooked meals served during our two week vacation. As well, there are a number of lovely a la carte restaurants included for your dining pleasure on both sides of the Oasis Resort.

If one should complain about the delicious meals served at this property, then my suggestion would be to stay at a five star resort and see if they can match the quality of food and service provided at a much higher price!

A wide range of local and international cuisines served up at tastefully decorated buffet and a la carte restaurants are bound to please every palette, and delicious tropical drinks are free-flowing at the many bars on location.
