I’ve put together a few ideas for those considering a Holiday in Canada that I thought would be useful should you be planning a vacation to my home and native land!  My travel blog would not be complete without writing an article on Canada.  Canada is my home and I am proud to showcase this wonderful nation to the world!

I was lucky enough to be raised in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, which is situated on Vancouver Island, just off Canada’s west coast.

We locals like to refer the west coast as … ” The Wet Coast. “ 🙂

A Few Interesting Facts About Canada

The present population of Canada is just over 34 million people from coast to coast. The longest distance from the East coast to the West coast is approximately 3426 miles or 5,514 kilometers.  Canada is enormous, covering over 3,854,085 square miles, which makes it the second largest country in the world by total area.

This beautiful country stretches out from the Pacific Ocean on the west coast at Vancouver Island to the Atlantic Ocean on the east coast from Newfoundland.  Canada stretches south all the way to the 41st parallel and up north to the Arctic Circle.

There is something for everyone in Canada’s Provinces and Territories and so much of it waiting for you and your family to discover!  As you explore this vast Country, it becomes easy to tell why the scenery is simply unparalleled to any other place in the world!
